Country Girl- Part 1
by RogerGirl

"In 15 minutes we'll be reaching Oaksville for a lunch and restroom stop," the bus driver said.

Shannon, 21, was sitting in the back of the bus with his friends Sam and Doug, also both 21.  They had met in their freshman year of college and found they all had similar interests in comics, video games, science-fiction, and anime films.  Every summer they would make a trip to the big convention in the city, but since it was 500 miles from their college and neither of them had a car they had to take a bus.  Sam was dressed as Batman and Doug was dressed as Darth Maul.  Shannon, however, had difficulty dressing as tough male characters with his thin girlish body, long hair, and soft features, so his girlfriend had convinced him to try going as a strong female character.  Reluctantly he had gone as Wonder Woman three years ago and found he enjoyed the experience.

While he would never cross-dress outside of the convention, he would always make an effort to make himself look as convincing as he possibly could.  Since dressing as Wonder Woman, he had bought prosthetic breasts, a prosthetic vagina, and makeup, and practiced walking, talking, and acting like a woman.  Each year, with his girlfriend's help, he had gotten more convincing as a woman and would even remove his body hair in the days before he left.  While his girlfriend did not go with him to the convention, as she wasn't into that type of entertainment, she enjoyed helping him prepare his costume each year.  This year he was dressed as Lara Croft from Tomb Raider.

"OK everyone we are in Oaksville," the driver said, "make sure you're back on the bus in half an hour or we're leaving without you."

Sam and Doug were asleep, so Shannon left the bus without them.  He took off the gun holsters on his legs so as not to frighten the townspeople, and grabbed some money from his bag.  He wasn't able to put his phone or wallet in his pocket since his shorts were too small and too tight, so he left them in his bag on the bus.  He also made sure to grab his bus ticket, which showed his round-trip fare, so as not to have any problems getting back on the bus.  He got up and exited the bus with a group of other people.  There were a few other people going to the convention, but most of them were just going to the city.  Luckily his costume wasn't too over the top so he didn't get any strange looks as in years before.

He walked to the nearby diner and got in line.  He got some looks from some guys that made him feel uncomfortable.  He had long since realized that he made a very attractive woman.  With his long shapely legs, flat stomach, pretty face, and long hair, he made a much better looking girl than he did a boy.  Growing up he had often been mistaken for a girl, especially with the name Shannon.  He had tried lifting weights, but he just looked like a girl with a little muscle.  He ignored the guys and waited to get to the front of the line.

"Hi, how may I help you?" the pretty girl at the counter asked.

"I'd like a cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake please," he said in his female voice.

He paid for his order and sat down to wait for his food.  He looked around and noticed some of the guys smiling at him, so he read a magazine sitting on the counter to hopefully keep them from coming over.  He looked up several minutes later and noticed they had left.  He was relieved and put the magazine aside.

"Shannon," the girl at the counter said holding a bag and a cup.

He got up and went to the counter to get his food.  As he walked toward the exit, some kids ran by and he tripped on the rug by the door.  His milkshake opened up and spilled all over him.  The girl at the counter ran over horrified and helped him up.

"I'm so sorry," the girl said, "those are my little brothers.  I had to watch them today.  Let me help you get cleaned up."

The boys apologized to Shannon, and the girl took him to the back to get cleaned up.  She took him into the women's restroom, which was empty, and began using some towels to wipe the milkshake off.  Shannon felt strange being in the women's restroom, but didn't want to scare the girl off, so he didn't say anything.

"There you go," she said, "most of it came out.  I'm sorry again for my brothers.  I told them not to run around the diner."

"It's fine," Shannon said.

"My name is Kelsey by the way," the girl said, "I see you're headed to the city."

Shannon's face turned white as he remembered the bus.  He thanked Kelsey for her help and told her goodbye.  He ran out to the bus, but found it had already left.  He tried to run after it, but it was too far gone.  He sat on a bench wondering what he was going to do.  He didn't have his phone or luggage and since both his friends were deep sleepers it would be a while before they would realize he was gone.  His girlfriend was in Hawaii with her family so he couldn't call her.  He sat alone with only his bus ticket, some money, and the clothes he was wearing.  He could buy some guy clothes in town, but he had no way to remove the breasts.  Kelsey walked over carrying his burger from the diner.

"Oh no," Kelsey said, "it's all my fault you missed your bus.  Do you have someone you could call?  A friend or boyfriend maybe?"

Kelsey sat down next to him and Shannon decided to tell her his story.  He told her that he was a guy and how he was dressed for the convention and how he couldn't call anyone to come get him.  He also told her that he didn't normally dress as a girl and that he wasn't gay.  He looked at Kelsey expecting her to be angry that he had tricked her into thinking he was a girl, but she just dried his tears and hugged him.

"Don't worry," Kelsey said, "you look really pretty as a girl.  I actually think it's cool that you do this.  The bus stops here so you can catch it on the way back, but until then you can stay with me."

"Oh I couldn't do that," Shannon began to say.

"No, it's my fault you missed your bus," Kelsey said, "the least I could do is let you stay in the extra room at my house."

"Thank you," Shannon said cheering up.

"There's just one thing," Kelsey said, "I live with my older brother and two younger brothers.  Our parents were killed in an accident a few years back, so my brother and I have been raising our younger siblings.  Their clothes are too big or too small for you, and we don't  have anything to remove your breasts, so it's best if you stay a girl while you're here.  We look to be the same size, so you can wear my clothes.  We'll stop and get you some underwear, a toothbrush, and anything else you'll need though after I get off work."

Shannon wasn't sure if he wanted to be a girl that long, but decided there wasn't really any other option and went along with it.  He walked back to the diner with Kelsey and ate his burger.  Kelsey also got him a fresh milkshake to drink with the burger.  As he sat at the counter eating his lunch, he learned that Kelsey's parents had opened the diner years ago.  After they died, Kelsey and her brother took over the diner.  Kelsey, who was 22, ran the counter and her brother Ian, who was 25, cooked the food.  They had another cook and a couple waitresses, but mainly it was just them.  They had both worked at the diner before their parents died and the diner had a lot of business, so they were able to keep it open.  Shannon finished his lunch and helped Kelsey and Ian close up when the diner closed for the night.  Kelsey told Ian Shannon's story and Ian told him he was glad to let him stay at their house until the bus came back.

After work they stopped at a nearby store to pick up some things for Shannon then headed to their house.  Kelsey showed Shannon to his room and gave him a nightgown to wear to bed.  He said goodnight and changed for bed.  The gown was short and ended just above the knee.  As he looked at himself in the mirror, he realized that he should starting thinking of himself as a girl while he was here.  If he didn't, the week was going to be really uncomfortable.
